The South Carolina State Society, Inc. of Washington, DC is a nonprofit section 501(c)(7) organization and a member of the National Conference of State Societies. The South Carolina State Society (SCSS) serves an essential role, connecting South Carolinians in the nation’s Capital and surrounding areas. Our members hold a variety of positions in Congressional offices, Executive branch agencies, trade organizations, non-profit organizations, and the private sector.

Two of the primary goals for 2025 are to expand our membership base and the number of events that are offered to our membership. We are excited to recruit new members to the SCSS and have planned several new events throughout the year that will allow them to meet new people, reconnect with old friends, network professionally, and volunteer with fellow South Carolina natives.
